There's something magical about the Florida Keys during sunset.
Lost in the Keys is a short film I made in 2021 and was the first artistic film I released on my own. I was inspired by the gorgeous scenery when I stayed in Marathon, FL for Thanksgiving and when I saw the sun setting, I decided to start capturing my footage.
Shot in 5k @ 24fps in D-LOG profile.
Video & SFX editing all done in PP CC.

I first visited the Florida Keys when I was 7 years old and have been inspired by the warm air, sunny skies, and plentiful trees.
⸺ Concept Development
I adore the perspectives achieved from a drone and knew I wanted to keep everything above ground level.
⸺ Storyboarding
With the intention of leading viewers on a fantastic journey around Boot Key, a linear timeline made sense.
⸺ Location Scouting
It was not hard to scout this location; I was staying on the golf course and used Google Maps to explore beforehand.
⸺ Video Production
Keeping things cinematic by using 24fps and color grading to a REC709 format with some dramatic flare.

Original soundtrack with a highly simplistic SFX palette to emphasize the peaceful nature of the scenery.
